· Two of the best professional TTS voices are included with Speech-Over Professional: male NeoSpeech Paul and female Acapela Heather. These voices are licensed for commercial use.

· Full range of voice controls for very realistic voices: speed, volume, pitch, delay and emphasis. The SAPI speech engine used by Speech-Over together with the premium voices allow great flexibility in modulating the voice. Being able to control the speed, volume, pitch and emphasis of the speech is an important part of making it realistic. Speech-Over now makes these controls available to users in an easy-to-use fashion: they are integrated into the text with special characters. 

· Import text from Notes pane. You can now take advantage of existing notes in the PowerPoint Notes pane and import them to Speech-Over. The text in the notes can be applied to narration clips.

· Automatic subtitles - long subtitles can now be handled. Successive two-line subtitles appear at the bottom of the screen, synchronized with the voice; optionally, long subtitles scroll across the bottom.

· Pronunciation of difficult words. Based on their extensive data base and pronunciation rules, TTS voices are able to read the vast majority of words correctly. However, they occasionally fail to read correctly complex words in specialized fields such as technical, legal and medical. You can now handle those difficult terms. The new pronunciation lexicon allows TTS voices to speak any word correctly. You enter the word into the lexicon with its phoneme representation, which is available from standard online dictionaries, and the voice will recognize and speak it.

· Background music or other sounds - In many presentations it is desirable to add background sounds or music to enhance the voice narration. When using TTS voices for narration, this feature can be especially helpful to enhance the overall presentation quality by "hiding" the slight imperfections of the voice and adding a degree of emotion. Speech-Over uses the PowerPoint slide transition sound feature to load a sound file to play in the background; this sound plays continuously and is not interrupted by the voice.

· Acapela voice tools - easy access to tools for Acapela voices. The Acapela voices are provided with the powerful tools Phoneme Lexicon and Voice Manager. You can now access those tools easily from the Speech-Over dialog.

· Edit voice sound files directly with Sound Recorder. After a narration clip has been created with a TTS voice, you can now edit its sound file directly with the Sound Recorder. This allows you to insert or mix in other sounds as well as adjusting the volume and speed.

· Context dependent Help. Help is now on each dialog.
