Save the narrated presentation on the Web for e-learning in the format you require: as a ppt or pps file with embedded narration, as a narrated flash file, or as an executable zip file, as shown below.

Text Box: 2. Save the presentation as a ppt or pps file with continuous embedded narration.
You first add continuous narration with Speech-Over (Trigger After Previous) and then use the PowerPoint function Record Narration to record the narration from the speakers (Wave Out), turning it into an embedded recording included in the ppt file. You can now copy the narrated ppt file to the Web for downloading.
Text Box: 1. You can always hear the Speech-Over narration with the regular PowerPoint slide show.
Text Box: 3. Save the presentation as a Flash file with embedded narration.
You first add narration with Speech-Over and then convert the presentation to Flash with popular PPT-to-Flash conversion tools like Articulate®, Camtasia™, and ViewletCam™. These tools also allow you to produce a SCORM compliant course for uploading to Blackboard and other LMS systems.
Text Box: 4. Save the presentation as a pps file with click-driven, continuous or interactive animation.
You first add the narration with Speech-Over, save it as a pps file and zip the pps file with the media files subdirectory. Then use the WinZip self-extractor to create an exe file that automatically runs the pps file when you double-click on it. Copy the exe file to the Web for downloading. For an example of this method, see Telling Time.

Synchronizing Object Animations with Voice Narration by Voice Effect Marshalling
Text Box: Text Box: Learn More

Speech-Over synchronizes object animations with voice narration automatically with Voice Effect Marshalling (VEM) technology developed at Tuval. The object animations focus the viewer’s attention on an object at the same time that the narration talks about it.

Instead of recording a single narration for an entire slide, the slide narration is built up from

individual voice narration clips associated with text and graphic slide objects. Visual animation effects are added to slide objects that have narration clips associated with them. The VEM process maps the visual and voice effects to the slide animation sequence in the desired order. The voice effects are automatically synchronized with the animations and are heard as a continuous slide narration.

Features & Benefits

Add Professional PowerPoint Voice Narration Easily with Articulate Text to Speech Voices.

Recording the narration is made easy by having articulate, always-available text-to-speech computer voices record the narration text. And it is also easy to change the narration -  by just editing the text. (This feature is available with the Speech-Over product only.)

Text to speech eliminates dependence on professional voice-overs and lets script authors produce and update narration any time, any place - eliminating production delays.

Presentations Come Alive -  Even When You Aren’t There

To simulate a live presenter pointing to screen objects, Speech-Over animates the individual screen objects at the same time the narration clips talk about them to focus the viewer’s attention on the object. In this way, Speech-Over lets you use object animations to illustrate and clarify the narration -  and make the presentation interesting and exciting.

Narration is synchronized with PowerPoint animations automatically with Voice Effect Marshalling - without any need for time-line editing.

Change the Narration Easily with Powerful Editing Features to Keep Presentations Up-To-Date.

Authors can change the narration easily with Speech-Over’s powerful editing features.  They can manipulate the narration on the clip level, reordering the clips and moving them between objects.  With TTS voices, change the narration by just editing the narration script.

Supports Dr. Mayer’s Learning Principles

Authors can build effective narrations from individual narration clips, combining general orientation topics, like introduction and summary, with specific content topics linked to screen objects.

This method conforms to the learning principles of Dr. Richard Mayer as explained in our White Paper.

Creates Speaker Notes

Automatically converts narration text to formatted speaker notes in the PowerPoint notes pane for viewing and distribution.

Multiple Audio Sources

Use microphone recording, audio files and realistic text-to-speech voices in the narration - even on the same slide. Combine multiple voices easily.

Add Narration in PowerPoint Design Mode and Save to Web With Popular PPT-To-Flash Tools.

Narration is added and changed easily in PowerPoint design mode with simple dialogs. Speech-Over can be used with popular PPT-to-Flash conversion tools like Articulate(TM) and Camtasia(TM) so that the narration is converted faithfully to Flash and saved to Web.

Tip: It’s much easier to add and maintain narration with Speech-Over in PowerPoint and then convert to Flash than to add the narration afterwards with the conversion tools.
